Podiatry foot treatment is not a compulsory benefit provided by health insurance companies.
Supplementary insurance
Depending on the supplementary insurance, 0 - 90% of the costs of podiatric foot treatment for diabetics are covered. Ask your health insurance company about the current reimbursements if you have supplementary insurance.
We will be happy to issue you with a receipt, which you can send to your supplementary insurance company after paying in cash or by card.
Health insurance billing for diabetic foot syndrome
You can bill a varying number (depending on the diagnosis) of podiatric foot treatments for diabetic foot syndrome (DFS) with a medical prescription via the basic health insurance (KVG).

We can bill the health insurance companies directly via the medical insurance fund. This means:
-Diagnosis A, B or C is ticked by the doctor.
-The doctor's signature and stamp (incl. treatment date) include the ZSR no. and GLN.
-The prescription must be reissued for each calendar year.
Please bring your health insurance card and a current list of medications with you to your first consultation.
Podiatry stands for "medical foot care" and is regulated in the cantonal health laws.
The measures taken by podiatrists are varied and work closely with the fields of internal medicine (diabetology, etc.), dermatology, surgery and orthopaedics.
Our services are also aimed at patients undergoing post-operative treatment and people who can no longer care for their feet themselves.
Podiatric treatment includes preventive and curative therapeutic measures for all aspects of the foot.
The patients to be treated require professional competence, experience, technique and 6 years of training by the Swiss Podiatry Association.
